Return to McClumpha!

Today we returned to McClumpha Park with Nick's friends. We played at the splash park again and then Nick and his BFF had some quality time in the sandbox. As you can see, Nick thought the sand might make a delicious snack. We're not sure why! We've decided to postpone installing a sandbox at home until Nick knows sand is not meant to go in his mouth.

Nick's First Mango Pop!

Nick needed popsicles for daycare, so we bought some molds and I made him red white and blue pops - pureed blueberries, yogurt and pureed raspberries layered in the molds. They all went to daycare, so Jeff and I didn't get to see him eat any. This weekend I made mango pops - pureed mango, coconut milk and a touch of raw organic honey - and today we gave him one. He did great! Hardly even dripped, never dropped it or set it down, ate it right up!

Nick's First Splash Park Visit!

Nick and his BFF Brann made their first visit to the McClumpha splash park today. They were both timid at first but warmed up a little as time went by - Brann eventually was brazen enough to walk right under the spray! Nick went so far as to stick a foot in. We are definitely going back!

Nick's First Plane Trip!

Nick had his first plane ride July 3! We went to visit Aunt Krystyn and Uncle Zack in Raleigh for mom's 30th birthday. Nick slept the whole way there and the whole way back! He had great fun playing with Lucy, his puppy-cousin, and looking at all the trees Raleigh has to offer.

Nick's First Apple!

Jeff is teaching himself video editing. Here's his first "project." :) Last weekend Nick picked up a whole apple and started eating it. It was the first time he ate a whole apple instead of slices of apple. It was so adorable, so naturally Jeff picked up the camera and started recording it. Enjoy! :)

Nick's First Tigers' Game!

We went to the Tigers' game with some of Jeff's family to celebrate Father's Day 2010 - Nick's first game! It was super hot, so we only sat in our seats for a few innings, but Nick had fun looking around at all the different people, eating grapes and spending time with his Da :)
