Christmas Tree 2010!

Here's Nick, helping to decorate the Christmas tree! He loves balls in all shapes and sizes, so this year we only decorated the top half of the tree :)

Eastern Market!

Today we had a whirlwind day! We ate breakfast, then headed out to Eastern Market in Detroit. We picked up some locally made sausage and vegetables for breakfast tomorrow, some great bread for garlic bread tonight, and bought a lovely grave blanket for Grandma Juarez's grave. Then we headed to Slow's BBQ for lunch. Uncle Zack and Aunt Krystyn thought it was delicious! Nick liked mom's chicken and his own (sugar free) housemade applesauce, but wouldn't even try the macaroni and cheese. Then we went home and watched the UM v Ohio State "game." It was a fun day!

Playing in the Leaves!

In preparation for winter, Jeff decided to rake the leaves in our backyard. Nick was a big help. We tried to get him to jump in the pile, but he wasn't interested in that. He was, however, interested in helping us put the leaves in the bags. Love that boy!

First Carousel Ride!

He didn't love it. He clung to mom for dear life the whole time :)

2010 Northville Christmas Parade!

Not a great photo, but what can you do when your town's Christmas parade is at 6:30 on a Friday night? Nick enjoyed watching all of the lights and received a nice bouncy glow ball from a local church. :)

Playdate!

Today Miss Madeline came over for a playdate! Nick and Madeline played together so well, it was so fun for us parents to watch. Madeline got in the Cozy Coupe and I said "Nick, why don't you push Miss Madeline in the car?" And he did! Then he decided he wanted to ride in the car too - they *almost* both fit :)

Nineteen Months Old!

Well, we are past the halfway mark in Nick's second year –so hard to believe! He had his 18 month appointment last week and he is 25 lbs (25th percentile), 31 ¾ inches long (25-30th percentile) and his head circumference is in the 50th percentile. His doctor asked about his words, checked out his eyes, ears and throat, watched him walk and declared him a very healthy boy. Nick also had to have one shot. Nick did not like this appointment but he calmed down pretty quickly once he started nursing. His doctor said there's no reason to see him again until he's 2 years old. This made us happy, because that's a long time in between appointments, but it also made us sad, because now it'll feel like he's 2 years old before we know it!
