Daddy went to Penguicon with his friends, so mommy and Nick went to Rebecca's for dinner, then to the toy store to find Nick a play construction hat.

Nick's 3rd Birthday Party!

Nick picked the theme for his birthday party this year - the Cat in the Hat! It was super fun to plan, knowing it was his choice :) We hope everyone had as much fun as he did!

We bought Nick a special hat and made him a t-shirt :)

Nick's amazing Aunt Krystyn made him a pink cake like in the book, red velvet cupcakes with bluish frosting to look like Things and we also made blue jello with Swedish fish in it to look like the fish in its fish bowl.

As part of their favors, the kids received personalized Thing t-shirts :) They looked so cute!!

We took Nick for his first time. He had a blast! He loved seeing Chuck E dance and sing and he loved a train ride. He won 12 tickets :)

First 3rd Birthday Celebration!

Today we celebrated Nick's birthday with Jeff's family. We had tacos and cake and Nick opened some presents. His favorites so far appear to be a Percy and Thomas and Snowman train cars from Grammie and Grandpa, and his big gift from us - a mini trampoline!
