Nick loves his new table and chair! Can't wait to have more chairs so he can share with his friends :)
Our son, Nicholas Paul, was born April 3, 2009. This blog will document his birth and beyond!
Today we went to Ikea. Nick had so much fun playing with two toy kitchens they have set up. He definitely needs a toy kitchen at home! I'm trying to convince his dad and grandpa to build him one out of an entertainment center, like this:

In preparation for winter, Jeff decided to rake the leaves in our backyard. Nick was a big help. We tried to get him to jump in the pile, but he wasn't interested in that. He was, however, interested in helping us put the leaves in the bags. Love that boy!
Not a great photo, but what can you do when your town's Christmas parade is at 6:30 on a Friday night? Nick enjoyed watching all of the lights and received a nice bouncy glow ball from a local church. :)
Well, we are past the halfway mark in Nick's second year –so hard to believe! He had his 18 month appointment last week and he is 25 lbs (25th percentile), 31 ¾ inches long (25-30th percentile) and his head circumference is in the 50th percentile. His doctor asked about his words, checked out his eyes, ears and throat, watched him walk and declared him a very healthy boy. Nick also had to have one shot. Nick did not like this appointment but he calmed down pretty quickly once he started nursing. His doctor said there's no reason to see him again until he's 2 years old. This made us happy, because that's a long time in between appointments, but it also made us sad, because now it'll feel like he's 2 years old before we know it!
The Wolverines are 2-0 when Nick attends their game :) This is me, Aunt Krystyn and cutie Nick at the UM v UConn game. He lasted in the Stadium until the bands started playing - we spent the rest of the game on the concourse and in Crisler Arena :) Still had fun! Go Blue!
